Our ND (neutral displacement) valve is a needlefree swabable valve designed to minimize reflux when disconnecting a male luer or syringe from the valve. Having blood reflux into the lumen of a catheter can lead to catheter occlusions which require the use of expensive declotting drugs. Occlusions can also lead to catheter related bloodstream infections (CRBSI) which can lead to fatalities or be very expensive to treat.
